The month of October is breast cancer awareness month. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer amongst women, and can be treated effectively, if detected in time.

Studies have shown that mortality rates can be dropped down when mammography programs are implemented, leading to an earlier diagnosis. However, it is not always easy to do. Because of this, it is highly important to inform everyone on the risks and symptoms of this disease and to encourage them to seek medical help. Indeed, even cis men, although it is rare, can develop this type of cancer. This spotlight focuses on creators acting to promote breast cancer prevention and help breast cancer survivors.
